About
I first became interested in mushrooms in the mid-80’s. Around 1989, I was fortunate enough to take the Mushroom Biology class from Freeman Rowe at Lane Community College. Starting in 1989, I have helped set up and organize the Mt. Pisgah Mushroom show, founded by Freeman. (34 years!) In addition to helping with set up and gathering mushrooms for our show, I spend time working in the “Poisonous and Edible” booth during the show. I am currently Vice President and Field Trip Coordinator for the Cascade Mycological Society, in Eugene, Oregon, and lead several mushroom field trips for members each year. I have been leading mushroom walks at the Yachats mushrooms show since 2007 (16 years). I am but an amateur.
