Introduction to mushrooms, identification and art for preteen and youth with Kimmarie Skondin

This workshop is for youth to explore all things mushroom.  You’ll join us to take a short hike to gather things from the forest, listen to a short microscope presentation, make spore preprints from items found, use a microscope to see what we found on a walk and look at spore prints. Test your knowledge and learn how to identify mushrooms. Color books about mushrooms to color and take one home to share.

About the speaker: 
Kimmarie Skondin shares: “my Mom Freda Holloran (Founder of LCMS) started hunting mushrooms when I was 6 1/2 years old. I learned about mushrooms from my mom. My Mother’s and my life passion started from this point on. I wish to continue to pass on the knowledge and the magic about the wonderful world of mushrooms.”
